About Me

Education:

I graduated from Haleyville High School in 1998. I was fortunate enough to receive a full paid scholarship to Bevill State Community College, and I graduated in 2000 with an associates degree. I received a transfer scholarship to the University of North Alabama, and I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education (K – 6) in 2002. I received my graduate degree in elementary degree in 2009 from the University of West Alabama.

My Teaching Career:

I began teaching for the Haleyville City School system in 2003. I taught 5th grade for 5 years, 3rd grade for 1 year, and I have been teaching 4th grade for 5. I have always taught Writing or Reading .. this will be my first year to teach Science. I am so excited!!

About Me:

I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two children that also attend Haleyville. Jared is in 9th grade, and Katelynn is in 5th grade. We have a dog named Bo, and three cats. The cats names are Zaxby, Arby, and Che Che.  In my spare time, I love to read!! 🙂
